Poll: Worth $600 for Salvage? (VROD Damage Photos)

So the guy at the Harley Dealer shop called this "extensive frame damage."

I see a scrape on the upper part and a dent in the lower frame tube from the footrest. The lower part of the frame is removable/replaceable.

The rest seems to be cosmetic or just replacing parts.

All-in-all, it looks like what is left is definitely worth the price for the Salvage Title $595.

Let's hear your opinion.

Note: Original Engine/Trans with 9000 miles and appears to be undamaged.

Look at how much you could get parting it out and if it's worth the 600 plus your time to pull it apart, I'd go ahead and get it.

Yeah what’s your time worth? Easily looks like $3-4K worth of parts, but it’s going to be a lot of wrenching and dealing with Ebayers and Craigslisters. I’d do it but I like taking stuff apart.

I'd buy it back. You could re-sell the motor

Needs a frame, that picture was not in the last set. That means messing with VIN stuff. Not expensive but consumes a lot of time.

Decided to skip the salvage. There's more than $600 in parts for sure, but it's not worth the time when I can just walk away with $2500.

Still waiting on the officer to put the damn report online.....

yeah. the $$$ worth of parts might or might not pan out.

for something to be "worth" something you have to be able to sell it, today, for that amount of money.

no pronto buyer = not worth it.

you might have got stuck with a garage ornament.

motorcycles are, mostly, a one-time-use thing. you drop it when you're wearing boots and a helmet, you probably killed it.

Harley parts are notoriously expensive. I wouldn't ride it again (trust me, even a LITTLE frame damage and it feels like you're constantly pulling one way), but if you buy another one, or if you have the time to part it out on Ebay, you'll probably get your investment back (definitely will if the wheels are still intact).
