Thanks for suggestions, all! I'll try to find them in local stores and try on. So far, Rev'it has been the best fit for my frame, anyone has any experience with those?
I have a pair of Rev'it that I think are the Enterprise 2 but I didn't keep any tags so I'm not sure what I bought. They have been water proof where they cover in all my wet commutes. I had trouble with the Street Triple and riding a fire hose on wet pavement. But that wasn't the pants that was the coat/pants combo and water sprayed from the wrong direction. I've had them a little over a year now and still stay dry in a downpour.

I have a the last generation of Rev'it Gear 2 leather pants (so, Gear 1). I ended up going with a size up so I could wear pants under them. I found that they were good quality and kept the rain out. They also vented well during the summer without the liner in. I thought they were as comfortable, if not more, than my Dainese leather and textile pants. I don't wear them anymore now that I have a Stich and a Motorport suit, but they're still in my gear closet collecting dust because they're quality and I might want to wear them again (not really worth the $$ lost to sell them).

As for my suggestion; Aerostich gear off of eBay. I got a suit that was basically brand new for $500. Maybe someone on the forums have some Darien pants that you can try on as a sizing reference, or you can send your measurements to Aerostich and they'll give you your sizing. It might be luck, but based on info from Aerostich I was able to get a suit that fit me off eBay without ever trying one on.

Simple solution is to walk up to the first obnoxious person you see, shake their hand and loudly say that their mother/wife/girlfriend/daughter/father/husband/boyfriend/son not only really enjoyed having you come by on your way to work, but asked you to come pick them up after work too.

Teknic used to make some decent gear for this..

I had an older pair of Chicane textile pants that had a 3/4 length zipper that revealed a solid pant underneath (like hiding your bellbottoms as skinny jeans when you had the zippers closed. And a velcro flap the whole length of the zipper enclosure for added protection. Same setup in the front waistband zipper..

Never got wet.. Little cold when riding in Feb but they weren't heated... And never had to remove my boots unless I put in the more solid knee guards in the inner pockets.

Great pants...

Ya know - those Harley cowboy chap thingies are actually pretty useful and easy to put on and off.

Plus...

... you can wear them with a wife-beater.

Who knew?

The Merlin ones? It'll be interesting to hear if they live up to their price tag.
