Question The one motorcycle you wish you still had?

For whatever reason you don't have it anymore - you had to sell it, you wrecked it, maybe it was stolen, whatever the reason - what's the one motorcycle you wish you still had?

Post up a pic and tell us!

'04 ZX10R. I wish I would have kept it. It was vicious, unruly, and simply raw. 9 out of 10 times I felt like it was really trying to kill me. Fucking head shakes galore, even with built and setup suspension. 1 out of 10 times though, it felt like time stood still and you were just jetting along with almost no effort. On PIR's long straight with the throttle wide open the scream of the air rushing into the airbox was deafeningly intoxicating. It had it's issues, slightly bent shift fork that cause WOT shifts into false neutrals. Nothing like the rear stepping out at 140+ when it banged back in gear.

Traded it for an '09 ZX6R. Nice bike and I was certainly faster on in at the track, but really ho-hum compared to the '10R.

Occasionally, I wish I still had a street-legal bike. But, not really all that much.

I should have kept my first bike/DRZ. It was setup for someone much lighter than me and I sold it before I got a chance to ride it properly (and for too little $$$). I sold it because I wanted something faster, but after further reflection I believe I sold it because it was unruly to ride (duh...the previous owner was 75lbs+ lighter). Sure, there's lots of DRZs out there, but that was my first bike and I should have kept it.

I have now seen the light....aka KFG.

I don't have to go through this pain.
I rarely ever sell anything.

Perhaps my 1965 Ducati 250 Diana. Or my 1968 BSA 441 Victor. Neither a very good motorcycle really, but just be cool to have now.

I sold my 1969 BMW R69S to my dad when my wife was pregnant with our first child. A few years later he offered to sell it back to me (after he restored it!) for what I sold it to him for but alas, too broke at the time.

Oh yeah, my Sachs engined Penton 125 would be fun too. So many bikes I miss!

The ONE bike I wish I still had was a pre KTM - The bike was an early 1970s Penton 175cc Jackpiner. Pentons were made by KTM and this was the first model powered by a KTM engine. Not mine in the photo but very similar!

My 1997 Rm125. It was stolen the night Mike bit Evander's ear off.
