Damn, that's a sad list. Gee, I wonder why bike sales are down?

yep.

And who plans these dates, DC, NY, IL,and MN in December/February!? Last one I went to years ago in Seattle I wanted to ride in but, snow was in the forecast...You'd think July-September would have more of an audience in those states, save the Southern states for Winter dates.

Exactly why I stopped going. Going over the pass in the middle of the winter is an iffy proposition. I almost got stuck in Seattle a couple of times due to snow on the passes. Not too pretty smart on the organizers' part.

Wouldn't surprise me if they look at sales numbers each year to decide if a given market is worth their time.

IIRC Vancouver BC has a much better one compared to Seattle and Portland.
If it's still considered as Pacific NW.

And yet there's still "The 1 Motorcycle Show." Always interesting, even the ever changing venue. I'd rather see custom builds, vintage, and collector bikes than the same new stuff that each manufacturer is pumping any particular year. But then, that's just my opinion.

I think this show is on it's dying breath. Every year it shrinks, fewer locations, fewer vendors and smaller venues.

12 motorcycle manufacturers listed. No Triumph, Moto Guzzi, MV, Aprilia. It would be nice to see brands like Motus, Norton, Benelli, Horex. Apparently no electric manufacturers.

One west coast show, in Long Beach. Only one show in California, the epicenter of motorcycles in the U.S?
Only two shows west of the Mississippi (and Dallas counts for that?).

Bummer.

AGAIN, this is NOT true for Canada's Vancouver International Motorcycle Show! They have the exotics, the boss hoss, the electric bikes, the Italian's. It really is what we have been missing in the USA.

Vancouver motorcycle show

I won't vouch that the Boss Hoss will be there but I have seen it there in the past...
This is the "regular" bikes I've seen on display. Many of them are BIG displays:
MVAgusta
Ducati
Aprilia
Norton
MotoGuzzi
Honda
Yamaha
Suzuki
Kawasaki
Triumph
Harley
Indian
Royal Enfield
Brammo
Zero.
It doesn't disappoint!
I think it "only" runs two giant exhibition halls instead of using a back hall as well (which it used to spill over into).
And then there are STUNTERS, (NICK "APEX" BROCHA AND ERNIE VIGIL), outside kids bikes, TRIALS exhibition, etc...

Shows 15-20 years ago were IMO great. The last three I went to were duds, waste of money. You're probably right. Until they offer a show more like the ones of the past, their attendee numbers will stay low, especially in Seattle during the winter.
