Dunno. No speedo. And every time I open the throttle more than about 1/4 the front wheel tries to go Space-X on me. I'm guessing maybe 75mph with current gearing. Changing the countersprocket from 13 to 14 tonight for enhanced mpg/rpm sanity. Edited by Sentinel on Nov 27th 2019 at 11:33 AM |

so, check this shit out: i bought this bike from a dude who seemed squared away. bike in superb shape. tesst rode around the block twice. everything seemed SAT. Thursday I rode 50 miles. My first ride on it. It was great. Last night I decided to do an oil change. I pulled the drain plug - AND NOTHING CAME OUT. WTF? There was NO OIL in there. None. Nada. I was doing whoolies (closed course). HORRIFIED! So I fill it up and start it up. ANd I can hear, at first, every moving part in the top end. Clackitty clackitty clackitty. I hadn't noticed before because I ride with earplugs. And after like three seconds, as the oil fills the ports and channels I hear the top end quiet right down, like you put a pillow over it. NOW it sounds like a Honda engine and not a John Deer. I changed the other side as well (two oil reservoirs) and that oil looked new. I think dude did the maintenance, changed the filter and drained both oils, but then forgot to fill the engine side. He only filled the tranny side. I rode today, and it runs beautifully. What a fun ride. Oh, BTW: I am totally to blame for the no-oil thing. My responsibility to check-out my ride. Thanks to Honda. Edited by Sentinel on Dec 1st 2019 at 09:47 AM |
