Need Dirt Bike School Help

I have a cousin that has a 6 or so year old that wants to ride dirt bikes.

Before she spends a lot of money on a bike and gear, I am recommending she get him into a dirt bike school to A. Learn the right way and B. if he crashes he may just say the Hell with it.

The live around Vancouver WA. Anybody know of a DB school in that area?

Thanks, Dusty

Perhaps you could reach out to Brett T., or have your cousin do it.

If you want I can reach out on Fb.

sorry to say - but the Island Lake motorcycle camp for kids decided to close until next summer. Great place for a kids to get a taste of biking. Small MX track as well as great trails to ride. Bikes and instructions provided.
Puget Sound Trials even holds an event there most years.

Hey Dusty,

They don't offer classes that I know of, but there is a motocross track in Woodland, not far from Vancouver. They may know of someone or somewhere nearby that does.

Dusty:

I know Spokane is quite a distance from you. Here we have a DirtBike school most weekends, or weekends that we have students. DirtBike School is held on Saturday and the ATV RiderCourse and Side By Side Driving School is held on Sundays.

The rider courses are held at Seven Mile ORV Park, which is part of the Riverside State Park System.

Now that we are in Phase II of the Covid 19 stuff (at least Spokane County is), the ORV Park is now open for use and I expect the rider courses to resume. I know there is a DirtBike school scheduled for Saturday June 7th. A family is driving over from Montana to attend.

Thanks! My cousin has family in Spokane and may be able to arrange something!

Is there a website I can refer her to?

Thanks! Dusty

Dusty:

The DirtBike School simply uses the MSF website. Your best bet is to contact the instructor directly.

His number is 208-683-2600. His name is Steve May and has been an instructor since the 1980's. He lives just a north of Coeur d'Alene but uses the Seven Mile site for his classes.
