I conceal carry everyday I ride into work in south Seattle to guard against the scum that has been attracted to the area by the Liberal populace and politicians policies and practices. There may be times when one can't ride away from a situation and I don't intend to be a statistic like coworkers who have been assaulted in the middle of the day.

I'll reserve my opinion on this shooting until all the facts come out, but even if one is not charged with a criminal offense, the American culture is to sue in a civil case so I understand why a gofundme page has been set up for the rider.

Not that my opinion matters...

It has been suspended by GFM while they work out whether terms and conditions are met. I'm in contact with them now. I'm the one that set it up and I'm getting it fixed.

If the man was beating her, she should have a good case. Especially w/ all the sexual abuse/rape/harrassment in the news lately, thanks to rich and renowned people.

Curious to see how this turns out, but I'm rooting for the GWTG.

Beating a woman doesn't look good in my book.

I keep seeing people say she should have fled. Do we all ride on the same roads? Fleeing through rush hour traffic in Tacoma is a terrible plan. It's my understanding that she stopped when traffic stopped, then the guy got out of his car and started beating her while she was still on her bike. He then had her pinned to the median when she ultimately shot him. At no point do I see a reasonable option on her part that doesn't involve legal jeopardy.

Most of us have been shouted at by someone in traffic. How many of us have been struck? It's a totally reasonable assumption that this wouldn't become physical, meaning that fleeing is downright stupid and dangerous for no gain. I'm fine with someone shouting at me. I'm not endangering my life or chancing a reckless driving charge to avoid it. It makes sense that she'd be in the same boat.

We all have the benefit of hindsight. She didn't. She thought someone was pissed and was gonna shout at her until he tried to beat the piss out of her on the freeway. If it went down that way I'm cool with that guy catching a bullet. If other information comes out I'll definitely be willing to adjust my stance, but for now it seems ridiculous to attack this woman for being attacked and fighting back.

Thats a lot of speculation.. (or do you have a link to a credible source?) A picture of Facebook messages is not a credible source IMHO.. too easy to fake.

The State Patrol is being pretty stingy with information..

Quick edit: I've seen eyewitness accounts saying he hit her while she was on the bike. That's where I got that bit.

That's almost exactly how it happened.

Nowhere for her to go, he jumped a few lanes over to try and ram her, then tried to ram her again and forced her over to the shoulder, she barely got off her bike before he was in her face shoving her, she shoved back then the guy got her to the ground and was beating her head into the pavement then dragged her by the helmet over to the median and was trying to punch and grab her throat when she opened fire. She's 100% justified in self defense. Apparently all brought on because she was weaving and it pissed him off.

That link does not support your statements.. (did you read it?)

exited his vehicle and the rider on the motorcycle got of her bike and the two of them “started a physical altercation,”..

The patrol report did not state who the aggressor was in the altercation.

As a general rule Washington state law allows a citizen to use lethal force as a defense if a person’s life is in direct and imminent danger and there is no other recourse such as leaving the area or running away from the scene where the danger exists.
