Looking to add height

I'm looking for some recommendations to add some height to my seat, ideally add foam or something and recover it. I really want to use my rearsets, but they're a little too high without a little to the seat.

Do you mean you want to use aftermarket rearsets that you already have? If so, are they race type rearsets? If so, race rearsets are supposed to be high. That's kind of the whole point.

Yes and yes. I have a set of Woodcraft that I've had on the RSV4, but had to remove because of the distance between the peg and the seat. I say had to because I caught my heal on the higher peg coming down hot pit at the Ridge about 6 weeks ago, ended up dropping the bike, but tore a hamstring trying to save it from tipping. They're only about a half inch higher, yet that small change slightly hinders my ability to move around comfortably and makes the knee triangle a little too tight.

I had hoped to use the SBK tail on my bike, I could add padding until I was satisfied, but I opted for a higher quality set instead with a SS tail, so I bought a second saddle and looking to just add a little bit.

I'm not looking to add inches here, but I need to the relax the position without sacrificing ground clearance, and most importantly, reverse shift.

That all seems very complicated. Sorry you were injured.

You could try Rich's Custom Seats. He's expensive and might be overkill for what you're looking for but I hear nothing but good things about him.

1 Lots of companies around do custom motorcycle seats, upholstery shops can too.
