Moving in the right direction, but, still a ways to go. If someone could figure out a better energy storage system than the current battery tech.

Lithium batterys and brushless motors just main streamed in the last decade or so, i think its going to be awhile before the next big leap in battery gets sorted and fed to the masses

A $13,000 sport bike that I can't ride to Mt Rainier and back without a 3 hour wait to charge it. Heck even with the $1500 Level 3 option it's still a 20 min wait...if you can find a charger for it.

People ride motorcycles very differently. I don't need a bike that I can drive to Rainier and back.

An electric bike would be fun for me. I just use it to commute to work and back or travel locally. No more than 100 miles a day (and that would be pushing it). Electric would be a perfect setup because I ride it, experience all of the fun torque/power, and then plug it in when I get home for tomorrow.

That being said, I want a standard, so I am not interested in this.
