I was thinking rather they would push each other and share ideas - possibly.

we could see a rather abrupt advancement in v-twin engine tech. And/or different rider input ergonomics from either brand.

Sharing is Caring, right?

Is it KTM or Bajaj that is buying Ducati? Because the Bajaj built bikes are trash.

While I agree, there are no factory intervals stated for those. And that's what we were talking about.

1930's lawn tractor engines need 1930's lawn tractor maintenance intervals.

And why the heck do you care? You have your Duc. I'm sure you love it. Great. No reason to piss all over someone else's brand. Maybe they like theirs for precisely those reasons you cite. BFD. Oh, geez. Sorry. I forgot that it's winter and it's time to turn every thread into an opportunity to diss Harley.

Lots of different versions of Harley on the road Dash. Lots of different Yamahas too. Do you like them all? Is it based on some experience or is it just brand loyalty? Frankly, I couldn't care less. If you like your bike, fine. I like mine. All the pissing about one brand or another is a waste of time that would likely be better spent wrenching or riding.

The specs you quote in your comment don't apply to my ride but, even if they did, why do you care? Seriously, riders who waste their time ranting about someone else's bike are missing the point of the hobby.

I've ridden and raced all kind of bikes. Some were more fun than others but I liked them all. That's the point isn't it?

The Yamaha is the version of the vintage Triumph that I didn't have the skills and patience to keep running. It also doesn't make you discern the subtle differences in aroma between burnt wiring and oil dripping on exhaust.

And yes from Chappy's to V-Max's I like every one I have ever ridden, but I like every Harley I have ever ridden, even the AMF one's. Its not personal. But it seems to me companies like HD and Triumph are moving more towards selling lifestyles instead of bikes, which I don't believe is good for the hobby in the long run.

E for effort on the 2019 Street Rod.

But unlike the Yamahas, all Harleys fit in the same category, heavy cruiser. I know your's isn't, but it is far from stock. You can't race any production Harleys, well except for Hooligan, but that is racing non-race bikes.

Anti-Harley guys are so predictable it isn't even funny. They have absolutely no ability to keep from having diarrhea-of-the-mouth as soon as the name as mentioned.

I'm personally not a fan of Suzukis, and I think that the Ducati Diavel is one of the ugliest bikes ever made, yet mentioning those don't suddenly make me break out in hives and force me to make ugly comments about them. But mention HD and those guys are vomiting all over the thread. Must be a pretty sad life to carry all that hatred and bitterness around.

I don't think VW wants to own Harley? Hmmmm.......but they did both recently get caught selling illegal engine controls, so maybe you have a point?!

Wouldn't be far fetched, they did design the V-rod engine and had a hand in the water cooling of the milwaukee eight.
