I heard Obama is looking to buy one so he can go on an anti racist cross country ride on the flat earth while running it on turd sandwiches!

I have not heard or read anything new on this since the first reports. The 'R' version is 'supposed' to put out 60 hp and the standard around 45. Not sure it is enough to have me swap out my '15 Yamaha R3, which I absolutely get a kick out of riding, but it sure looks neat and has great features.

It is fairly easy to select the desired text and right-click on it. Once you do that, you can select "Search" from the context-sensitive menu.

But I guess first, you have to be mildly interested in the subject to spend that much effort.

Nope, I'm not interested enough to do my own search, but give me a link like you did and I'm interested. Seems like the OP should have provided a link, but perhaps that's too much effort as you stated?

If I remember correctly the Aprilia RS250 two stroke twin put out about 70 hp at 310 lbs bike weight. THAT is what they should be bringing out. A DFI street legal two stroke of any size! Yeah Baby!

Made me smile and brought back happy memories of Sang Froid's annual two-stroke rides; Bardhal aromas, ring-a-ding sounds from expansion chambers and compression release farts.

There were two different Aprilia RS250 motorcycles, both powered by the engine from the Suzuki RGV250- there was the "Cup" race bikes, and then there was the street bikes. They're both very cool.

I love two-strokes. We saw so many cool two strokes when we visited the Isle of Man for the TT races. Everything from the Cagiva Mito (designed by the late Massimo Tamburini, the "Michelangelo of motorcycles"), to the Suzuki RGV500 "Gamma".

The newest two strokes, both marine and sled, are as clean or cleaner than a four stroke. Particularly if you take into account the oil change the four strokes require. The biggest thing holding them back is public perception and a market. Two strokes have been so vilified, and development of the four strokes has come so far it is hard for manufacturers to justify making one.
KTM and Husqvarna (same same) are working on making the two stroke bikes clean and have done a good job of it. No more billowing smoke. It would not surprise me if they come out with a street legal 'enduro' version of their 250 dirtbike at some point.
The DI two strokes run at something like 500/1 oil ratio at idle? The Suter bikes

are INSANE. 195 HP on a 280 lb V4 500cc 13,000 RPM two stroke? Me thinks that would be a pretty fun street bike. Just sayin'.

The Suter MMX 500 is actually 576cc. We watched it race at the Isle Of Man in the TT.
