Sep 2016 Salem, OR 2008 CBR1000RR, 2017 Grom | I'm going to be a Grandpa!
So I had to pull out the old JR50 I taught my daughter to ride on 18 years ago. Some parts needed to be replaced but all she needs now is a new spark plug and to tighten the chain. I knew we would need her again one day! Edited by Tortilla Jackson on Dec 4th 2020 at 09:12 PM |

Congrats gramps!! I remember when I would pick up my daughter from school on a bike, ten years later my grand daughter....they would always say how the other kids thought they had the coolest parents/grandparents. Now I can't wait to get started on my 11 month old Great Grand daughter's training... Enjoy it! |

A big reason I got back into motorcycling in my parenting years is when my grade school daughter wanted me to get one. I bought us both all the gear and had her ride on the back of my R1 almost every day to school (when we weren’t riding the tandem bicycle). After the first few weeks, the novelty wore off and she was weary of putting on and taking off all the gear morning and evening. I even brought her on some PNW Riders rides. She enjoyed those. Then one day I made the mistake of giving my ex a ride on the back. Her response: “No way is she safe riding that!” ![]() ![]() |
