Get your butt up to Peninsula Moto Group. A little Birdy told Me they are closing. They got several cruisers that Might meet your desires/needs. They got that Yamaha Raider which is a power cruiser with 104 ft. lbs of torque...,yum. Tell Kevin that Tom & Te sent you for the close out deal.....,lol. I'd con him out of it but I got a 100 hp cruiser already.

Not much left there. A couple of Yamaha cruisers, 950, 1700, I think and a white Stryker (1300 chopper style). Staff is gone. You have to deal with the manager in the Subaru dealership. I'd offer wholesale prices as they are done with bikes.
Cliffs is blowing out their Victories. Got a couple Octanes (like the Indian Scout but better In my one sided opinion) for $8500 and bigger cruisers for thousands off.

Thoughts on this Road King?

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/m...533161848.html

Or this Electra Glide?

https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/m...536258982.html

Or this Stratoliner?

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/m...516371154.html

I might be able to swing by Peninsula after work today.

Have you had a chance to test ride any cruisers yet?
Going for test rides will make decisions for you. I know when I switched from a hyperbike to cruisers it involved a number of test rides before I decided.
My decision was based on ride quality, reliability and looks. And this was after I got used to the fact that cruisers are made for cruising and not smoking corners and high speeds, which I was addicted to.
You will just have to do some rides to figure what is best for you.
As far as your choices;
These are just my opinion based on experience and research.
All nice bikes.
I'd suggest going to Lynnwood and riding the Stratoliner before the HD's. There is going to be a considerable different in power and handling.
Also North Sound will have other cruisers for you to check out too. I believe they are part of Lynwood Motoplex which will have a number of makes and used bikes.
The Road King is a gorgeous bike with lots of farkles.
You might find that owning a Harley is more important to you than the bigger torque and handling of the Yamaha.
Getting a Harley is kind of a ego thing that most American Males goes through. Same with Corvettes. I had a Vette in my past but not a Hawg. I digress,

I'll let guys with more HD knowledge address the reliability of the 88 CI engines of your 2 HD choices.
I am going to test ride a new Electra Glide as part of my search to replace my big touring bike. But by sitting on one at Destination HD in Silverdale I found it to be a much tighter and confining cockpit than my Venture. Makes Me wonder if they would work for you as you are bigger than Me. Again this is something you will have to decide for yourself.
Again the Electra is a nice bike loaded with farkles and I like the lower miles. Deciding between the two is a matter of checking them out as pictures always seem to be better than reality...,
Hopefully you are mechanical as HD's require more care than the Japanese bikes. But you knew that. I'd definitely join a couple of HD forums and get myself educated on ALL things Harley if you go the HD way.
Put the time in to sit your butt in a number of seats and get as many rides as you can to make this decision.
If it was Me I'd be deciding between the RKings looks and mystic verses the big power and reliability of the Yamaha.
And I bought a Yamaha when I was at that crossroads last time....,

Emerald City Harley-Davidson and Lynnwood Motoplex are within a few blocks of each other.

You're going to want to test ride all you can. Not sure how Motoplex is about it but Emerald will let you test ride the used ones good and proper.

Well...

Ended up getting a 2003 VROD 100th anniversary that is in great shape and only 8500 miles. Paid $8k including tax/tag/title and delivery to my house. Donít hate me!

I should have gotten more test rides in, but Iím currently having to leave my wife with 4 kids at home while I take the only car to work. And making the ferry has proved difficult even when I show up at the Southworth terminal at 0440 for the 0500 ferry!

I really appreciate all the tips and knowledge. Iíll definitely be around the forums and hope to meet some of you guys in the future.

Hate? Envy, maybe. I hope you'll post a review after a few weeks of riding.

You sure got yourself another hot rod! Looks good. Give us a ride report once the rain stops. Or go burn up the back tire in the wet and brag about it lol.

Itís been a few years since Iíve been on a bike, so it will be slow and steady until that muscle memory starts kicking back in.
