Exclamation HB2063 (motorcycle registration weight fee repeal)

House Bill HB2063 was introduced today by our buddy, Representative Matt Shea.
Taylor and Condotta are signed on as co-sponsors.

This bill would remove motorcycles from the annual $25 motor vehicle registration weight fee.

Washington State Legislature

Road travel by motorcycle is more environmentally friendly and puts less wear on the roads than other motor vehicles so penalizing riders with a weight fee is counterproductive.

If you support this bill, follow the link, click the comment box and let your Legislators know.

Done! I have no problem paying the current rates I do for my passenger vehicle licensing, but the current fees (particularly this one) doesn't make sense for motorcycles.

I sent them my thoughts. My KLR is more to renew than my SPD6 and CX7 weight based.

If this bill passes; Jay Insane or is it Jay Inslee? Will just put another tax on another tax on top of another tax with another tax with a cherry on top to recover any lost revenue.

I would not get your hopes up for any common sense to happen in Washington state government.

What ever happen to Tim Eyman's $30 car tab bill that past?

You are correct, don't get your hopes up.

But without continuous vigilance you are guaranteed to get screwed.
