The Senate Transportation Committee passed HB1058 so it's now time to let your state Senator know how you would like them to vote.
That is a last step before the Governor's desk.

Comment expressing support and requesting a vote for passage sent to Senator Randall in the 26th District.

Gotta say that I'm still mourning the fate of the lane sharing bill, however.

Let Randall know how pleased you are with his support of Parking and how you feel about lane sharing. They need to hear from us!

But when you contact Randall's office be sure to let HER staff know that you appreciate Emily's support.

It's all in the details.

HB1058 has been passed by the Senate Rules Committee.
It’s last step before the Governor’s desk is passage by the full Senate.

Follow this link, select the comment button and let them know how you want them to vote.

Last night the Democratic party Senate leadership chose not to bring HB1058 up for a vote so it is dead for this year.

So the next time it, or any thing else we want, comes up all you wet side voters need to lean on your Dem legislators, just what it will take...

Aside: I stopped in momentarily at the Fred Meyer on Lombard yesterday evening and noticed they now have two dedicated motorcycle parking sections in different parts of the lot. I just googled to see if this was now policy for all their stores and found this hilarious Yelp rant:

Loyal customer gives Freddy's a one-star review and vows she'll never shop there again, purely because two spaces (more really but she doesn't know that) were converted to motorcycle use. It's got one "Funny", which it is, though it doesn't appear to be intentional.

I just added another "funny" vote to it.

It's especially funny that she went to New Seasons instead, I've been meaning to write my local New Seasons about adding some motorcycle parking. They don't seem to have a problem with motorcycles parking by the bicycle rack, but it would be nice to have designated motorcycle parking.
