What's your favorite and why? I'm looking to replace my Tourmaster Transition 2.0 jacket and Caliber pants. I've found they are no longer waterproof, seams are starting to come apart after three years, and the zipper broke on the pants just yesterday.

I have an inexpensive mesh set from Bilt/Cycle Gear. Looking to buy a jacket/pants combo that would be good for when it's cooler and wet.

When I first got back into riding a few years ago I bought a used Scorpion XDR Commander jacket. It's pretty versatile, has separate rain and thermal liners and lots of venting to work pretty well in warm temps too. It has become my early season jacket for when I just gotta get out on the bike even though it's 40 and damp.

Have not tried any Scorpion pants, as I inherited a pair of First Gear overpants with a bike I bought.

Leather Over Pants with full length zippers on the legs, full length zippers means...when you ride over the hump and end up in Eastern Wash, you can step out of them anywhere without taking off your shoes, they also take up less room than textiles when stowed/rolled on the bike.

I have a TM Transition II jacket and TM over pants. Same thing happened to mine but they're around 6 years old. I bought a Firstgear Kilimanjaro jacket but it fit weird and didn't work for me.

I then bought the Klim Badlands jacket I have now. Yeah, it was very expensive even at 20% off. BUT, I don't anticipate having to buy another jacket for a long, long, long time. It's Gortex with a lifetime warranty, has LOTS of armor, has lots of vents, and lots of adjustability. It is not lined and does not come with a removable liner. I think it's supposed to be a year round jacket for moderate climates. Klim's theory is using base layers or heated gear. I typically wore an undershirt, long-sleeved t-shirt and a fleece or non-hooded sweatshirt under the jacket and stayed plenty warm, sans heated gear of course.

I'm looking to get a pair of Klim Torrent overpants next.

It may take some time but it is worth saving your money to afford some Klim gear as much as you ride.

If my budget would allow it I would have Klim, it's basically a lifetime purchase with them.

That being said I like me some Joe Rocket. I just recently purchased an Atomic 4.0 waterproof jacket off of Amazon for $100. It's on the sporty side of things, but it's pretty good.

Also check out Motorcycle Superstore's house brand, Moto Centric. I've heard great things.

I'm rocking my field sheer pants and jacket that I started riding with in 2005. The outer zipper in the jacket has been replaced once and the pants zippers are about done but they still work okay, waterproof is a joke but I carry a set of cheap bike rain gear to throw on over it. It's not an ideal setup but I've put a whole lot of miles on that way, hoping to upgrade the gear this year.

My everyday leather jacket is still the very first one I bought. An Alpinestars Spinner. Favorite everyday pants are my Cortech CPX zip-off cargos. A re-soled pair of Sidi On-Roads, Alpinestars S-Moto gloves and Shoei RF-1000 round out the everyday gear. When it's too warm for the leather jacket, I have a Cortech GX Air 2.

For longer rides, I'll throw Icon Automag leather overpants on with jeans, and zip the Spinner jacket to them. Nothing else changes.

For more spirited rides, or if I ever get back to the track, I have an A* Stunt 2 jacket. A* Track Leather pants, A* GP Plus glove, A* Tech back protector, and Sidi Vertebra boots.

I've collected several other pairs of gloves, pants, and jackets over the years. None have held up as well or been worn as often.

I have a Frank Thomas two piece perforated leather, Icon textile lightweight jacket, Klim jacket and pants (bad weather) and a regular leather jacket. I use insulated bibs with the Icon and leather jacket for much of the time. I like them all depending on what I am doing.
