In 1972 on a Kawasaki 350 triple I came into a corner and low sided at night and tore the beejeebies out of my right knee (jeans torn to you know what) When I stopped sliding I sat up next to a sign that said caution loose gravel. Would have been nice to have that sign 100 or more feet earlier.

Gravel embedded in my patella, had to be scraped out and stitched.

That was the 1st time I got a knee down! Not on purpose though.

In 04 i did my first track days on a bike and couldnt get my knee down so i bought a big boy modded crf50 and wore out a set of knee pucks in an afternoon in a school parking lot and at the next track day i had no problems getting it down everywhere except turn 7 and 8 and still dont get my knee down there.

I've been around curves where if I had stuck my knee out it would've been down..but I didn't and haven't gotten 'em down yet...probably won't...

There will come a time as we get older, when we will have a hard time getting a knee up.

That's friggin awesome!! Knee and boot at the same time!!!

I hated my boots sliding, didn't care for the sound of the porcelain like skids grinding away in the asphalt!!

Have gotten my knee down a few times at The Ridge and Pacific Raceways, but no photos for proof. I instinctively ride with my knee closer to the bike than most riders (see attached photo). Being 5'7" makes it harder too as compared to taller riders.

When I scraped the pegs the instructors told me to get my fat ass further off of the bike!

Kevin told me that I had "duck feet" and to get my feet back on the pegs.
