Ethanol Free

Just a heads-up, the Shell in Port Orchard on Sedgewick and Bethel, diagonal from Fred Meyer, has ethanol-free gas on 4 pumps.

Just noticed yesterday.

Also, the "YES" espresso place right there is pretty good and there's a taco truck around the corner on Sedgewick at the hill top. Never ate there but it's normally got a few people getting a snack.

And make sure you ask about the-lighter-than-air for your tires too. They both make about the same difference in your ride.

dude. if you hate the topic don't freaking read it.

for me its worth it to save the diaphragm in my lawn mower from disintegrating every year. Also, plastic tanks on some bikes prefer non-ethanol. #Aprilia #KTM #mysumo

if you fill your tires with 100% helium you'll pick up a couple of 1/10s per quarter mile..leave the other clowns in the dust on the straights...if you use hydrogen..like a blimp..you'll catch on fire and blow up...

I use ethanol-free when it's at all convenient in summer, and go out of my way for it when the dry season ends and chances of the bike staying parked for weeks with a full tank in wet weather increase.

But I draw the line at putting either espresso or taco sauce in it.

Very handy indeed, and the app is integrated with maps and it's very convenient for use on the bike. My wishlist for it would include
  • Optionally, list by driving time and bearing and not just distance -- the maps API should let let them do this fairly easily -- because i'd rather continue 8 miles on the freeway I'm on than go 5 miles off on a side road and have to come back.
  • Show available grades in the abbreviated listings in the app so I can skip the 87s. Think I'd rather have 91 with ethanol than 87 ethanol-free if I'll be burning through it today. Though it's a tough call...
  • Compulsory yes/no fields in each entry, and the ability to filter them from the results, for
    • Subscription only: we don't all have CFN and Pacific Pride cards
    • Marina use only: some of them you can only get to by boat

But as Hedley Lamarr says in Blazing Saddles, "why am I asking you?"

Like there ain't no taco trucks in your neighborhood, unless you have been 86ed out of all of them.

LOLMAO that the old guys think anyone under 50 knows WTF "86" means.

BTW: I got 86'd from Bobs Big Boy #1 in Los Angeles in 1967 when I was 6. My mom worked there as a no-shit car-hop and I had to sit at the counter every day after school (1st grade) until she got off. I was shooting the cook with paper spit wads through a straw. He got pissed and the manager kicked me out, made me sit in moms car for like a week. Win for me because the other car-hops felt sorry for me and were always bringing me french fries, strawberry pie, and (remember this shit?) chocolate Cokes.

LOL 86.

Thanks for the memories.

It's not in my job description to reduce my language to accommodate the Google generation.

BTW: In Texas is was cherry Cokes, not chocolate. That was for bottled Nehis.
