I just heard an interview with the CEO of Lightning Motorcycles (maker of the fastest production bike) and he described their newest product, the Spark. It will be a Grom like bike for under $4k, but with 30HP!?! They will also be making a "middle weight" bike to sell in the mid teens and with about 100HP. Hmmmmm.....

Heck, people still run, and pedal bicycles, just for fun. Go figure.
Yes, but those activities are old school. Human input is the point. That is why I will probably always resist an electric bicycle.

And I think I am against a self-balancing motorcycle, or one that sets the lean angle for you, even wheelie restriction. I don't want a rollercoaster with my ride determined by some engineers. I want to pick my own road and pay the price with elation or disaster.

  2014 vstrom 650, 2007 mf150-4n, 82 cm400, 82 450 nighthawk, 83 virago 500, 71 cb175, 70 cl100
I just resurrected a 1980 Yamaha sr250. Working on bringing an 82 cb450sc back from the dead, then a virago from 83, a cb175 from 70 and a cs100 from 68.
And there's a 1986 magna v65 on the hook as well.
I may trade up, from my vstrom to a super tenere or Africa twin.
Ain't trying to get too disconnected.

I like that Africa Twin. Seems like it adds functionality to a garage better than just one more street bike. That makes sense?

Adv bikes are the pickup trucks of the bike world.
I like the utility factor.

I think there will always be people interested in two wheeled fun, just as many as there are now. The self balancing, optimal lean angle thing I can do without. Learning to do that well for yourself is part of the fun for me. Electric bikes will be terrific I think and there will always be mods.
