Electric Dirt Bike

Here is a test ride vid for the electric KTM Freeride. Pretty neat bike! I would like to test ride one.

i wonder whether they are building-in some "required maintenance" to throw the dealerships a bone.

BTW: KTM missed a golden opportunity with that model designation. SX-E? Really? You don't see the obvious designation, begging to be stenciled on that bike? Sigh.

Im not a battery guy at all even tho i know its the future, but the sound of the motor adds to my enjoyment, really making her sing, and with battery you get none of that, imagine a rc51 with sato exh or aprilia v4 sc project exh or a Ferrari singing thru downtown hi-rise the experience would be less if they were battery, at least for me.

pretty cool bike..
but 7,000 Euros + 50 euros/month to lease the charger is a bit steep for a bike you can only ride for an hour at a time before recharging. If you want to ride in the woods, you'll need a 220 Volt generator for charging, and a second battery is available for the bargain price of 4,000 Euros.

meh.. I'll take a 2 stroke.

I was actually going to put in my post where to skip to but did not. The whole thing is not like how it starts.
Kind of liking the electric sound of it. Surprised by that.
