EBR's final death?

Revzilla reporting that once again, EBR is closing it's doors.

Kinda sad (again), but can't admit surprise.
I didn't know that only 3% of Americans ride motorcycles.

I certainly wouldn't complain if my Blast was suddenly worth much more money.

The problem is that newer motorcycle riders aren't looking for 175HP nakeds, halo bikes or fat cruisers for $25k+. Plus without lane splitting in much of the US and with ridiculous enforcement in some areas on "spirited riding" it's not like anyone can use that kind of power except at the track anyway.

The reason bikes like the FZ-07 are so popular is because it is a cheap way to get into a really fun, standard, easy to ride motorcycle. For a lot of people like myself, you can get a much better experience slogging around on a slower $7k bike than you can restraining yourself on a $20k one. The EBR bikes were cool, but even if it was given to me for free, I can't think of a reason why I would take it over my FZ-07. It's just too much to worry about.

LOL, that probably won't ever happen. Not when Mr. Buell is on camera crushing one and saying he always hated it.

That might be just what makes it more special, right?!

Right..?

Yeah you're right, not gonna happen any time soon.
