(in fairness, Kawai's naming scheme isn't easy to comprehend)
Or have any English language comprehension, but his price is really good if the bike is clean.

To give him some credit, it is a 1,000 and it does say "Ninja" on it. So, in a way, it is a "1,000 Ninja".

Let's add to the "Yellow" theme we had a while back.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/mcy/5446293795.html

"1986 Bingham Mark 11 two seater taxi sidecar & 1983 650 Suzuki. Both painted to match the famous New York Yellow Taxis. Motorcycle & Sidecar needs work & restoration. Go to Side Strider Sidecars and Accessories. Pictured is the sidecar on front page of Binghams web page. $1850"

This was so entertaining to me, I've archived our text exchange. If awful grammar doesn't make you laugh, move along.

Note that all texts are sic...
Me: How much are you looking to get for your Triumph?
Him: I'm taking offers to c wat I can get.
Me: OK. Any offers yet?
Him: I did. But wats your offer.
Me: Any service records?
Him: U mean like oil changes
Me: Among the other 38 items listed in the manual that need servicing, yes. Have you ever taken it to a shop?
Him: No I have not token to shop.
Him: *Tooken
Me: Close enough. Well, retail on a used 2013 with a clean title is about $8k from a dealer.
Him: I'm just wondering where did you get that dealer price
Me: Kelley Blue Book
Him: Dealer price for this bike is 11500
Me: New. Your bike is not new.
Him: It ain't new but it don't drop the price by that big.

Unsurprisingly, he turned down my offer of $4500.

Sounds like he wouldn't even have taken 8k.

Classic usage of "I know how much the bike is worth so please no please no low ballin"

"Has a few scratches due to roads" Wonder what sort of roads he was taking it down

It even has a salvage title for heavens sake, but good thing it has a "custom paint job"

lol I even pointed out the "custom" paint job, including the spraypainted windscreen which is now useless. He wasn't having any of it. I'm genuinely curious as to what he paid for it.

I always like the "yeah, it was dropped, but only at a low speed".

Pretty much irrelevant how fast it was when a $12k bike gets damaged enough to warrant a salvage title. It's like he's forgetting the rest of that story....

"Dropped at about 10MPH....off a cliff...into a nearby river. Runs great!!!"

$4500 sounds pretty close to me.

I love the multicultural use of 'tooken'....and the correct spelling!

I saw this several days ago, but I don't recall the trade value part. My take is that he wants the cash and the statement is to deter retarded trade offers. He's asking a fair price on it, but I'm sure his final selling price will be closer to $5000

2008 Husqvarna TE 510 Husky Plated

2008 Husky TE 510 Excellent condition, Old Man Bike. Fuel Injected, Electric Start, 1400 miles, great DOT knobby,s, New steering damper, New Battery, balanced wheels, I replaced the original license plate mount with a smaller mount. I have the original mount, Two mirrors, New skid plate, I added a lowering link because I'm only 5'7", I have the original link. I made a custom aluminum rack that fits and looks great. I only run amsoil and have spare filters. I removed the original hand guards and front blinkers. I have the stock hand guards and front blinkers. I removed the throttle stop and emissions. I have all the emission parts. This is a perfect street legal dirt bike. I take very good care of all my motorcycles and cars. I'm the kind of person you want to buy a used bike from. You wont be disappointed. I even have a complete color shop & parts manual and new in box spare fuel pump. $5,500 OBO. I might trade for a running and driving classic car or truck that is from 1950's to 1976. Trade would have to be worth at least $7,500 for me to consider a trade.

Yeah, I know the guy that built that one. I can say that it is an original design.
