Cool new product - helmet brake light!

This is a cool idea and adds safety in several ways. It works as a brake light with a built in accelerometer, which means it lights up on deceleration whether you brake or just roll off. It also will do a constant flash and has a rechargeable battery. It also has a feature to contact emergency personnel with your location and send a contact message if a crash is detected! Pretty impressive for less than $100!

That's gonna be more for scooter riders who always have their heads straight up. anything else will have their heads moving too much and the light not easily visible. the angle of it in a tuck vs sitting up is vastly different.

Checked their website. No information on strength of light, distance visible, at what rate of deceleration activates the "brake" light or if it's adjustable and won't even last a full days riding at only 8 hours long. So you always have to be charging a spare battery.

good idea. impractical execution.

Yeah, I prefer the modules that work directly on your brake lights, which should be pretty visible. More light never hurts, though.

A woman at Intel in Santa Clara modified a helmet in a much much better way, IMO:

Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything else come from that project.
