Brough Superior and Norton Scrambler Concepts

I'm not wild about the Brough Superior (or it's price tag), but the Norton looks great and is priced right. Really though, the supercharged 650 parallel twin sounds like bullshit - just too good to be true. 100 HP may be workable but ~70 HP is more likely.

Exotic, one off bikes are always cool. Would like to see one in person someday.....

Why is the Brough such a big deal? I have read the magazine articles but it's ridiculously expensive and l just don't get it...

It's not like it's an MV nor a Duc..

Because it's an expensive one-off. Netflix has a show about Brit bikes that mentioned that Brough only makes a handful of bikes every year. I believe it's less than a hundred. They're basically the most exclusive brand around, and with the longest history.

They had a "history" of 21 years.

The SV650 and your Ninja already make about 70 and they are not exactly highly tuned. 100HP may be a little optimistic, but they should be able to get considerably more than 70.

I agree with you. The 175 HP forced induction version sounds like wishful thinking though.

The name has a history anyway... Much like Triumph, I believe it was bought and moved to a new city before resuming production.
