Mrs Sentinel actually understands my hobby (addiction) and is very supportive (*I has good life insurance).

Last year I bought her a Passat.

and

I sold the C14 and bought the harlequin-license-removal-machine and am right now ahead $1,500.00 (until the Revzilla bill shows up, that is).

How many times have I got a "new" bike and then bought ...
pipes
brakes
tires
windscreens
grips
seats
lights
air filters
(add your list here)

hell, i remember buying pipes AND carbs for a "new" bike once. RD400F Daytona. It was totally worth it.

BTW - i'd kill three othermufckers for a new RD400F or a RZ350 or a Gamma 500......

We had it good.

I am holding out for a new street two stroke. Something like a 600 with 100+ HP coming in under 400 lbs. 325-380 would be Ok. With the 'cleanliness' of the new two strokes there 'may' be enough interest to do a serious effort. Maybe a twin or triple KTM? Or 4 cyl? Could bump it up to a 1000 and I would be Ok with that as well.

yeah, I bet a 1000cc 4-cyl 2-stroke would be OK with you.

Me too.

LOL.

I remember going to the motorcycle show in Vancouver BC in 1986. The honda booth was a mob scene on account of the new Hurricanes. Meanwhile, I was by myself slobbering over a Walter Wolf RG500.

Ironically, I wound up buying a new '88 600 cane a year later.

Might I suggest a nice soothing ride somewhere that involves twisties and a brewed libation afterward. Tends to melt my cares away, and may work for you.

100% agreed! My math came out this way, too.

Just installed these. Inexpensive, light weight, fast delivery, sounds excellent.

Some sharp edges. Blood. Yeeks.

And I now remember from last time i did this on my previous N1K - the strap-holes are too small for the stock bolts. Grr.

LOL. Good thing I have been saving hardware obsessively since the 80's. Bolts - I got.

The stock pipes weighted like 25 pounds. Yeeks. These are like 3 pounds.

Looks good! Does the sound actually change much, or is it still stuffed up in the catalytic converter?

headphones.

it's deeper, more Kawasakier, than the stock cans, but not necessarily much louder, which is good. The cat is the whole flow-restrictor thing.

BTW, dan-moto makes a header for like $350.00 and I'd try it. Their stuff is actually ok.

Don't know yet. Have only been on one quick ride.

The rear is a 50, which makes the bike want to stand up So I know replacing it with a 55 will change the handling a bit. But I don't mind holding it down some. It feels normal to me.

I was thinking about this:

With an ABS bike, are your brakes, the bhp you can generate, the negative g's the braking system can generate, limited by the ABS setting more so than by the brake pads/calipers/lines/tires/road surface etc?

You see? With an ABS bike, isn't braking power a software setting? At least, the high end would be.

Just a though as I await my new pads from the Amazon delivery drone.
