Boda Boda riders or artwork?

I found this to be pretty awesome looking, I would take a ride from that kind of taxi anytime!

Don't know about the taxi part of it but Hendrix in the artwork makes the sale. He'd have been 78 this year.

I would not get onboard with a rider dressed the way they are costumed. The bike designs are OK though.

Was it at last year's MC Film Festival that I found out about these mc taxi's? I think it was a film about a woman that does this and her struggles. Pretty interesting and I had no idea mc taxi's were a thing. Bringing obscure and unknown aspects of riding to us film festival goers is one of the goals of the three guys that put it on every year!

Why not? If I remember correctly, this is in Nairobi, I am sure no one wears leathers there ...

I want to see their eyes and face, to be sure they are sane, before I put myself in their hands. Their face is mostly obscured with a troubling visage and leaves me wondering what sort of person dresses this way.

From the article, only the motorcycles are decorated in real life; the riders' outfits pictured are an art project:

Quote:
after realizing that the drivers forgot to about their own looks when customizing their rides, the duo picked seven motortaxi drivers and together designed special outfits that matched their motors.

‘we thought the bikers forgot one thing when they customized their rides: their own looks,’ explains jan joek. ‘we selected seven boda boda drivers with the most awesome bikes and sat down with each of them to create brand new outfits to complete the characters.’
However it goes on to say these seven riders liked their new outfits and started wearing them on the job, and their incomes went up. So you might encounter one...
