Bluetooth cochlear device under helmet?

Howdy,

I've tried several approaches for listening to music while riding, and none of them have worked very well. The speakers that came with my Sena 20S are terrible, with insufficient volume to hear much while wearing earplugs. I replaced those speakers with some taken from a pair of headphones, which improved things only slightly. The bluetooth earbuds that I use for regular listening are too large to fit inside my helmet. Wired earbuds are a hassle.

The bone conduction (cochlear) headset described at the link below seem like an interesting possibility. Since they send the signal through the bones of the skull, rather than through the air, it would seem that the effect of ambient noise wouldn't be too significant. I could still wear my regular earplugs to block ambient noise.

Don't know if these would fit under a helmet or not, but it might be worth a shot. Has anyone on this forum tried something like this?

Thanks.

it looks like a lot of areas to get pinched...hopefully you could find a store locally and take your helmet in with you and give them a try...because I have bad hearing..I have had ear doctors tell me to never stick anything in or over my ears that create sound (this actually goes for everyone) so I thought those bone rattlers just might be the trick...let me know...
I went back to the site and read the comments...I always go to the 1 star first..as I find them the most informative...
