Getting ready for 2016 racing season, the SV is getting prepped for new race skins.

In the middle of truing and sealing the wheels on my Husky...

Also built/adapted a tire changer into the hitch of my ol' truck to squeeze out the middle man and break fingers at my own leisure. Sorry pictures suck...

Well I'm about to go add 150 miles to my odometer in this lovely torrential downpour. I guess I'll lube up my chain, too.

New to this whole thing... Guys that sold them to me they went faster when you wore the tread off and I was lucky to find these 7 year old ones. He said they don't make that compound any more so he left them outside to harden up to last even longer.

Unfortunately the most I've done to mine the past week or so has been to take the cover off and look at it.

Gawd I hate the rain. Wife and I spent most of Dec. in NC visiting my daughter and son-in-law and it was sunny and 70 the whole time. There were bikes everywhere and I was really jealous. Got home and just wanted to ride, but rain and chunky snow meant it stayed put (And yes, I am a fair weather rider. I ride for fun, and riding in this crap ain't that much fun).

I thought about them today. I might get out and start getting the Wing ready to ride. Looks like it might get into the 40s this weekend.

Bumped the mirror when I walked by it.

EVERY time I've been on the east coast during the holidays it's been FREEZING! You got lucky...
I even went out to VA in April and got rained on worse than any ride over here. Twice! Six hours out each time. That was miserable. :(

Woohoo!

I got me box of parts off the shelf and found a "new" GSXR/SV throttle tube that I damaged in my high-side crash on my last ride!:)

Now needed gsxr clip-on and a good SV bar end weight and it'll be on the road. ;)
Anybody got one?

Rode the DR650 to work today. First time I've done that in well over a month, due to ice or heavy rain.

Nice to be able to have my awesome private parking area all to myself :p

paradox206 Jan 26th 2016 05:13 PM

I rode it...in the rain....and it was fun!!!

Today was the first day the VFR had been out in a week or so. The shape of the gas tank on my Monster dumps water directly into the zippers of my Aerostich, so the VFR got rain duty today.

Now I'm going to pack up, leave work and go back out into the rain. It'll be glorious!!

Rain isn't going to stop my habit....gotta have it!!

Finally, after a few years of putting it off of getting my Tank looked at for swelling, I took it into Ducati Seattle to see if Ducati would still warranty it. I got this e-mail today:

Quote:

"Hello Brad,

Ducati has made the decision to replace your gas tank. I have ordered the parts and will let you know when they arrive.

thanks,

Kevin"

:spin::dance:

Man, I'm going to sleep really good again tonight! I swear, this new forum is bringing me really good luck ;)
