2017 BMW S1000RR Updates?

Does anyone have any info on whether this model will get updates for next year? It was heavily updated for 2015. Thanks

2016 riding season just started right? I've been in a cave away from humans for a while...

Wish I could find out the same thing in regards to the 2017 RSV4's I'd like to upgrade my 13 but don't want to miss out on a major overhaul that the line is due for.

RSV4 just got a major revamp for 2016, I'd highly doubt you'd miss anything but maybe a color at the most.

No not really, tiny bit of HP and that's it. It's more or less the same bike from 2010 thats has undergone slight tweaks over the years. Its a 6 year old bike design. Looking at or for that huge change like the R1's went through. RSV4 is due. Would also like to see a major tweak on the BMW, though its not like either bike needs it.

About 20 hp is little bit? Man, what do you regularly ride?

Engine went through a major revamp: crank, connecting rods, heads, transmission oiling, etc. Swing arm was lengthened, neck is adjustable now, ecu, software and traction control updated, airbox is all new, etc, etc,...

Sorry, but to be more specific. A visual change other then sticker kits. The body and bike are the same at a quick visual glance. I love the look of both of those bikes, but would like to see something new. Ape is 6 years old visually. I do realize they tweaked a lot of internal stuff:P

20 hp gains are easy with a lot of bikes, some not so much. My 11 R1 got that with ECU flash and full race system.144 to 165. 500 bucks got me 10+ more hp on my R1M. Those gains were just better tuning and exhaust.
Seems like the new bikes are actually getting a lot of power from better stock systems. Very little gains on the R1's and 16+ apes with full system upgrades. Ape's never gained much so I haven't bothered with mine. 8 hp for 3k, just not worth it.

I got ya. You are right though, not much to get from even a full exhaust system on the Ape.

The RSV4 is in the running for my next bike but I'm concerned about the ergos. I need a close reach to the bars.

Love my RSV4 for the ergos, its the one bike I can ride all day long with no fatigue or pain. Finding the right bike for you is the challenge though:P It is much smaller then any of the R1's I've own (04 11 and 15). MY 15 R1 kills me after 30 mins of riding... Go sit on and test ride a Ape.

If you are ok with the older engine you can find new 14-15's R models for round 11-12k. Pretty sweet deal on a near perfect bike with a 2 year warranty.

No kidding. I'm used to my 09 R1. My new 16 R1 is definitely more track oriented. I'm 600 miles in and still fiddling with the suspension.

Motoguzzi of Portland carries aprilia now. I believe they just moved to a bigger shop on sandy close to 122nd.
If you need a close reach don't forget about the Tuono!!
