Question Unknown Issue... please help!

Iím new to riding and got a 2005 Suzuki Sv650s. My bike has been running fine until recently. The bike will only start up and run when it is leaned to the right! When you go level or to the left it will stop running. I cannot seem to figure out the problem... the oil and gas is all good. The electrical connections are also all working. I havnt seen this issue before even asking around. Thank you so much in advance for the help

Check your tip over sensor its a small black rectangle about the size of a 9v battery that sits just in front of the battery. It has an up arrow.

It might be something related to the carburetor, maybe the float?

2005 SVs are fuel injected.

Need more details to help.

Has it been dropped or laid down recently?
Have you done or had done maintenance lately?
What does it do when you try to start it? (i.e. does it turn over at all but not fire?)
How far leaning to the right does it have to be?

As mentioned, the tilt sensor is a good place to start. If it came loose from its mount for whatever reason it will be problematic although I've never seen it happen.

Look at your side stand switch and side stand. Might be something loose there also. The switch can be a headache on Suzukis. Mine tried killing me on the track a couple of time before I found it acting up.

The clutch switch (under the lever) can be knocked loose easily and go all intermittent depending on attitude also.
Plugging it back in solidly usually works until you hang something from the bar again.

Enquiring minds want to know.

Did you resolve this issue? What did it end up being?

Could be the kickstand switch also if the spring is tired or something is loose.
