Glad to see you rebuilt the engine dude! Once the weather gets consistently better I'll come up with the Husky and you can show me some cool trails.

I need to figure out how to carry gas. Thing only has a 2 gallon tank, its pathetic.

Nice job on the Gas Gas. Every time I read someone's rebuild of these things I learn something new.

As soon as I have some other stuff wrapped up, I was going to tackle my '03 Gas Gas 450 SM...starting issues.

Manual cam chain tensioner and valves. The stock tensioner puts too much tension on the cam chain and the shitty starter can't turn it.

Only difference between our bikes is the piston and jug.

I know more about this bike now than I ever have about any of my other bikes, but by no means an expert.

well damn... I've heard that the early 450s had too high compression that caused issues.

The starter was an idiotic design flaw. One of the guys over on the GG forum said he got a cbr 600 starter to fit. You'll probably have to order from Europe though.

If you were so inclined, you might be able to re-wind the coils for more juice. I'm not an EE though, so I'm not 100% on that. It's just not skookum enough.
