Can anyone recommend universal headlight mounts (headlight ears)?

I am in the process of putting dual headlights on my FZ-07 to replace the stock single upside-down trapezoid-like headlight.

I can mount them easily to the forks via a universal headlight brackets or what I've seen referred to as "headlight ears".

The problem is, here is where I would be mounting them: http://i.imgur.com/9Uw2zqi.jpg

My fork tubes are 41mm, but with these plastic covers they are a bit bigger.I ordered these ones as a first-try because they were cheap, but they ended up being way too small (as I expected) to fit around the plastic. I don't want to get rid of the plastic because the only way to do that is to pull the wheel and tubes and make a big fuss, or just cut them, neither of which I want to do.

So I guess my question is, has anyone who has maybe done some streetfighter/bobber/cafe racer projects mounted headlights with a bracket like this and have some to recommend? Ideally:
  1. They need to fit around the plastic cover on my tube. I'm thinking some bigger-adjustable ones would work (maybe like these for some reason this site sells stuff at 3x others' prices)
  2. I'd like them to be black
  3. I don't mind if they are upwards of $50-$60 if I know they will fit, but anything over that is excessive

How are these? Universal Headlight Mount Bracket Fork Tube Motorcycle Bobber Cafe Racer Chopper | eBay

Typing in google 'fork tube mounts' seemed to bring up a lot of results. I wonder how much it will cost you to get some fabricated from a shop.

I'll try "Fork Tube Mounts". I was just searching for "headlight bracket" before.

I am a little concerned now though about mounting it on that plastic cover... I am afraid it will crack after a few hundred miles

  all of them
The LSL brackets I got out of Germany for my 600RR steetfighter are the best quality I have ever seen. They were wicked expensive however.

If memory serves my fork tubes are 41mm as well.
