In Kitsap County the State Patrol is always using laser on SR16. The thing is, they always haunt the same locations. Just don't speed through Gorst, by the sub base, or between port orchard and gig harbor (except for going up the hill before costco. haul asss there. no place for them to hide). one time i DID get a ticket on my ninja 1000 from being plane-spotted. that one was legit. |

Best RD detector, the Escort Max360C IMHO. The "C" stands for its ability to connect to WIFI and update that way which is the most costly RD. The lower cost option is the MAX360. Either can be updated via a USB cable and your computer using the Escort Detector tools Pro application. Escort takes used RD's as a partial trade in. I got 80 bucks off the new MAX when I traded in my newer IX, which BTW has been discontinued. |

Question, will I be able to use the plug in that's hooked up now for the 9500ix? Or would I have to wire in a new one? |

Great info guys, thank you. Sounds like radar detectors definitely still have some value, but they have also gotten extremely expensive too. I don’t generally get too many tickets, but as I mentioned earlier, I’ve moved to an area where I think my commute will be more sensitive than normal, especially in the Summer. This has made me reconsider the purchase. Thanks again. Mike |

All Escorts to date use the same phone type of power cord. No rewire necessary.

I had a 9500ix prior to the one I have now, escort 360 I have way fewer false alarms now than ever plus I really enjoy the arrows to know where our coming from. I’ve had one ticket in 7yrs with my detectors and it was later so it is what it is. I personally would not ride without one unless I only rode the speed limits. I just baggie mine in the winter months and never had a problem with the rain. Sent via iPhone |

The last time I got a ticket was for passing a semi with a double-yellow line on the southern part of hwy 97. Wasn't a big deal except I failed to look in my rear view mirrors and I'm pretty sure he was right behind me. ![]() Fortunately, it wasn't 30 minutes prior when I was doing 150 indicated. ![]() |
