OMG Its Cold

But at least I'm out riding.

At Valhalla Coffee on 6th in T-Ville.

Excellent cappuccino.

I always leave the side cases on, a 12 pack of Henry's fits perfectly. Besides, the Canyon cages rear section looks way out of place w/o the cases on.

I too was riding today up towards Mt Rainier on the KLR. Nice hot shower warmed me back up when I got home.

On the east side of the Cascades, it was a little colder than over there in "the tropics". 27* when I left the house yesterday morning for SMC in The Dalles. Yes, I rode my SV; the bike didn't seem to care at all.

Clearly they sound better when called Panniers.

How many severed heads can you get in a set of C14 Panniers?

I don't know, let's ask Mister Owl.

One, two, three, four...

I always though panniers was just what BMW called then so they could charge more

29 this morning. I ride a naked bike. Other than the ice, I am nice and cozy with my gear & heated grips!! It is actually kind of refreshing.

I thought heated grips were a gimmick until I tried them. They are truly a gift from God. Don't know how I lived without them. Lower parts of the body are toasty with the motor, but I need to find a good neck warmer. Soon.

Grip warmers are nice but even on the low setting I feel like I should have wrapped bacon strips around the grips before setting out and cook some lunch on the way.

The hand guards on my old VStrom were actually almost as effective at keeping my hands from freezing by deflecting most of the wind blast. My fingertips still got a little chilled but on the whole I think I prefer that.

The decision to leave the First Gear winter gear in the closet and the Venture in the garage was a bad one. Still had a great ride on the Octane. Frickin Cold!
