My Buell TT would only hold you back. I have a PM in to Pablo for some dirt riding on Friday. If that works out I can ride on Sunday. Its getting hard for me to do long back to back days. If Friday doesn't work out can go either Saturday or Sunday.

Where would you like to go?

I got broke up a quite a bit during my days in the army so I can't do any long rides either, I'm not into the aggressive knee dragging the whole time I'm riding. I just like cruising in the twisties. Is there any nice 2-3 hour loops close by?

The Hood Canal loop comes to mind, otherwise its all kinda out n back. You can do the full loop around the Olympics if you have the time

Sounds familiar, were you in Aviation? If you have a rating you can receive health care at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System Veterans Hospital in Seattle. Care is excellent. I’ve had three surgeries there with great outcomes.

Don’t know where you live so don’t know what’s close but I’ll guess North Kitsap somewhere.

We can do Dawato. From Poulsbo it’s a nice 2 to 2-1/2 hour loop. Nice ride some twisties, pretty much what you ordered. I’ve ridden it a million times.

Or

We can go over the bridge and ride around the Dabob peninsula. It’s also a loop and a nice ride. About 3 hours or so to and from Poulsbo. From there we could take a side trip to Port Townsend if you want.

Or

Just outside of Quilcene I know this paved single lane logging road with turnouts. It’s about 12+ miles long and climbs somewhat steeply with twisties up a long hill. Lots of fun. I tend to avoid it on weekends during the summer months, (car traffic). Minor Drawback – You have to drive over a mile or so of gravel to get to it.

Or

We can go to the dam at Lake Wynnochee. It’s a fun ride if you take the gravel forest service roads to get there. If you go by paved roads its actually kind of a boring ride.

What do you think?

I was a mechanic/recovery operator, I've been to the American lake va center, much better than anything I've been to on the east coast.

I live in poulsbo, so all those rides sound good to me except the gravel roads, just need to plan a day and time to meet up and ride!

I work Monday-Friday also, as long as the weather holds out this weekend, I'd say a meet up for at Saturday or Sunday ride sounds good.

This weekend I'm going on the Kamiah ride. Will be gone Saturday through Monday. We'll have to hook up another time, though.

Just a heads up on Dewatto, was out there last month and sections of the last chip seal job are actually pulling up. There are some pretty bad spots where the gravel didn't take hold and have just pulled loose leaving large divets in the road and loose gravel all around.

Hello All,

My name is David, I was leaving work and a member parked beside and told me all about this forum, so here I am!! Totally looking forward to going on rides. I bought a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 650R last month. Before that I had a 1993 CBR and sold it awhile ago.
