Hurty knee - crutches?

Been laid up with an owie for the past 2 months.
Chair <> kitchen <> bathroom.
Did that for a month without improvement and went to the doctor.
2 weeks with higher dose ibuprofen. nope.
Osteopath -> MRI this morning. Bone bruise. 1 aspirin daily for blood thinning.

And he suggested I get some crutches to go no loading at all.

Anyone have a set of crutches gathering dust?
Promise to give them back or pass them on.
Thanks.

I've got some taller than usual saw horses you can have. Will give you a little more stability.

Byt seriously tho, hope you mend up and get out riding.

Thanks. I've got some ropey old sawhorses too.
Sort of awkward getting them into the trunk.

Were are you located? You can usually find used crutches at thrift stores like goodwill for CHEAP - like $5
Have done this too often when we leave our crutches at home when travelling.

Check with your local fire station. I don't know about your fire station but the (rural) fire department where I am has a small collection of donated crutches that the will lend to those that need them.

Thanks. I'll check into both of those options.
Out on Bainbridge, so I'll have to travel to find them.
Nobody really wants to ride here. Most of the roads are goat trails only suitable for SuperMoto.

I have a pair along but I'm in West Seattle, +1 on the thrift store.

If that works for you, great. I should be in in about an hour. Or I'm happy to drop them off if driving is a hassle.

Driving is fine. Only walking when I get somewhere is a hassle.
Already got a cane, but that still puts some pressure on occasionally.
Have to build up one arm a bit. Not a pro at it. Yet.

Ah that really sucks eggs.
I’m writing this as I ice my foot as well... severe case of Metatarsalgia here + swelling.
Can’t even put my foot into the boot without screaming and flying through the roof in pain. No riding for a while for me as well - the past few days have been torture.

Take care!

Thanks DocB.
Got them adjusted and operating.
We'll see how this next bit of medical therapy turns out.

If that doesn't work I may have told someone in some bar in the distant past that I was a doctor, so............

BTW: If you need someone to exercise the bikes I can toss myself on that grenade.

You are most welcome. And I am celebrating a few more square inches of space in my closet.
