We are still on (okay, I'm still on) for the 12th.

Here is the latest from NWS, so plan appropriately. We may get a bit damp.

A grateful motorcycle nation appreciates your service and sacrifice.
  • Did you go all the way to the top?
  • How was 123?
  • Did you do Skate Creek?
  • Was Stevens Canyon open all the way through?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I went through yesterday on my way back from Prosser. 123 was in decent shape. There's that section of rough road near the park gate, but that's not new. 410 is still closed between 123 and Crystal. I didn't drive Stevens because I was on my way home from work.

Tipsoo is still completely covered.

I did Skate Creek - 12 - 123 - 410 to Whistling Jacks, whipped it around, went back and then did Stevens Canyon Road, up to Paradise, and out the Nisqually entrance to home.

123 was as normal - bumpy on the Packwood end, good elsewhere.

2 different road signs (1 on 12, 1 on 123) stated that 123 was still closed.

Good thing I don't pay much attention to signs

Foo Foo the Weather Turtle is now saying that we may get sunshine.

Still gonna be on the cool side up top, but warmer in the lower elevations come the afternoon.

Oh, and unless something major comes up: Confirming In.

Provided that Tuesday promises to be mostly dry, I'm in.

Update

One of the possible return routes is through Mt Rainier National Park, but there is a fee involved, so we will make the call that day. (If you like the park the $55.00 annual pass might be your cup of tea.) If we decide to cruise through Stevens Canyon there will be a mandatory fuel stop at White Pass top make sure that everyone has enough fuel to get all the way through to the other side. It is 113 miles from Whistling Jacks to the next fuel stop in Ashford, and SR 12 and the road through the park can eat some fuel.

The weather is really looking good for Tuesday.

I remember the gas station at White Pass only has regular. Though I didn't last year, this year definitely topping off at Whistling Jacks.

When riding in the woods on the DualSport I always carry a small bottle of gas, (good for about 10-15 miles). Will bring it just in case someone can't quite make it to Ashford.

In keeping with the spirit and theme of the ride will be on my "Snow Colored" bike. Really looking forward to Tuesday's run.

For folks who are over 62 years of youngness, an Interagency Annual Senior Pass is a better deal at a whopping $20.

That savings will get you about 4 trips to Golden Corral's Early Bird Senior Special.

Of course, you can get more savings in the long run if you opt for the Lifetime Senior Pass, but that will run you $80.

If we do go thru the park I may take the opportunity to get my lifetime free pass...

Looking forward to this ride. Kind of spinning in circles on what to prep tho. Don't wanna be underprepared for the cold bit also don't want to end up being too warm...

Mine only cost me $10.00, but that was back when $10.00 was considered to be real money.

Don't you have hard cases on that battle barge of yours? If you're living out of a fanny pack it's only because you're making some sort of fashion statement.

I'm really still on the fence. Are some of you meeting up around Silverdale/Bremerton area in the morning for the ride to Enumclaw? If so, what time and where?
