After-Work Rides?

Is the mid-week after-work ride still a thing?

Seems like Kitsap is comatose except for the whole photo-tag thing, which is a pretty small club.

I know folks are riding sometimes 'cuz sometimes I pass you by when I'm out there.

I usually ride between 2 and 5 weekdays. But I'm available just about any time any day. I'm a fair weather rider.

Nope, it's no longer a......thing......anymore. I wasn't on the last one, before it disintegrated, but it didn't go well.

I wouldn't mind doing an evening ride here and there, but I would rather do some kind of dual sport or SM road ride to some off road exploring. Lot's of stuff to explore across the Hood canal, and even some on this side.

I'd do some street riding on the Duc, after work sometime, but if it's in a group, it needs to be more controlled, unless I know everybody, how they ride, and we all know what to expect, but still controlled.....

But this weather has been really.................. Yea, I've become more of a fair weather kind of guy.....

It's still too wet/cold for me most days (I was raised in SoCal) but when the weather gets nicer I'll post some evening dualsport rides. Maybe down around the North Shore road and maybe a poke into the Tahuya State Forest and Green Mountain trails. There's a nice view at the top of Green Mountain, and I know the easiest way up (the hardest too..)

Since they fucked up Bear Creek/Dewatto, which was my go-to destination for letting my (invisible) hair down, I find the CBR sitting idle most of the time, albeit beautifully.

Almost every ride I've taken so far this year has been the same Hood Canal loop on the Connie.

Still, I'd like a nice rabbit-run through the boonies, if anyone's up for it.

And, yeah, I've been pondering trading the CBR for something I can take up into the hills. God I wish they still made an XR650R. I just can't let myself consider an "L" and the KTM's are too damn expensive and fussy. If I hadn't just dropped 10K on the Connie I'd be hunting an Africa Twin for sure.......SO many motorcycles, so little money....

I commute every day (rain or shine) on my bike, if it's nice out I usually take a long round about way home. So yes, I'm down for an after work ride. Especially a dual-sport/SM ride!
