Crossing the Cascades but not in the snow

Does anyone know which roads are open, other than freeway and major highways after the heavy snow fall this winter? I suspect not much. For example I know FS 48 is closed but what about 216? Or any other suggestions other than waiting until the end of June?

216 doesn't close on a schedule but it's not going to be maintained in a snow- and ice-free condition the way the main arteries are. (It's chain-up or snow tires only at the junction w/26 right now.) Personally I wouldn't risk a secondary road anywhere in the higher elevations right now. More than once I've set out too early in the year and thought I was fine only to realize I had invisibly transitioned to frost or black ice and my traction was gone. If you're lucky you figure this out on a straightaway.

This was NF-44 last week. NF-44 runs from Hwy 35 to Dufur.

Rounding a blind corner and Bam! It went from dry pavement to snow in a hurry. The upper elevation roads are going to require extra time to dry out this summer

Thanks. I am having second thoughts. The fun roads are not fun ...

Gotta wonder what FS25 in WA is going to be like when it opens up. It was substantially destroyed on the downslope (east, northbound) side last time I took it and there's been a year of heavy weather since then.
