MotoGP & Racing Thread

Heads up guys & gals in the Gorge, MotoGP is returning on March 20 in Qatar :D

Who follows the races and who are your favorite riders?

Lorenzo and Pedrosa are on my list, been chomping at the bit since the close last season with the "drama" between you know who.....

As much as I'm a Rossi fan, I want to see Danny take care of business this year. His composure and focus on racing instead of all the bullshit that was going on impressed me last year.

This. Would love to see Dani take a #1 plate before he retires. I used to dislike him in the Nicky days but he's loosened up a lot since then and his focus & work ethic really show.

Found it odd, nobody mentioning Rea's double in the opener, or even a mention of said WSBK round.

Didn't Nicky get a forth? When's the last time he did that? Seems like this series is more relevant to the bikes most people ride on a daily basis.

I have to admit, I prefer watching this series vs. Motogp. Spies 2009, Corser 2005, Edwards 2000.

I'd like Rossi to win his tenth theb walk away, lorenzo is still a force to be reckoned with though. Hopefully the results of pre season testing so of the new riders start getting into the mix.

Superbike was off to an awesome start. Rea I'd really having to work for it, I'm pretty stoked about Davies coming out swinging

I'm with cgt, probably for different reasons though.

That Marquez-Rossi thing go way outta hand. Seems like MotoGP/Dorna are painting it up like it's something to be excited about this year. Just a cheap sell. Just feel like there should be an element of respect and sportsmanship that seems to be bitterly lacking in GP as of late. I'm not looking for hand holding, but jeez. Edwards retired, Hayden to SBK, guess I'm having a hard time following without them. Done watching the aliens for awhile. Stick Marquez and Rossi in a room and get it over with.

....and yea....Rea's gonna kick ass this year. Nicky did pull fourth (had a podium, just.....got pipped at the end). I'm just really hoping to see Hayden finish top 5 for the year and get back on the podium.

Anyway...Loads of good racing in WSBK. Production bikes (mostly.....). Bikes you could actually see, buy and ride/race. Bikes more on an even playing field. Good mix of riders in many ways. They got my subscription this year.

Nicky had a good run at Philip Island but I don't think that the ancient Honda is going to be much of a threat anywhere else.

Also would like to see Rossi take another championship, but we will see.

I'm most interested to see what Vinales will be able to do on the Suzuki this year. Kid shows promise.

I think this year for Harden is the development year. I thinks he's vaulting the new cbr and when it comes out next year he will be a force to be reckoned with.

As far as Rossi and Marquez they let it go way to far, it drew attention and they ran with it. Vinales looks to be fast, I'd like to see iannone kick ass this year also. Dani should be fast again, I'm just hoping for awesome racing this year.

This year will be filled with all sorts of shenanigans. Ducati has their red-baron design, Suzuki has their "its not vvt" VVT, tires disintegrating, and venues going out of business.
Now that antman is re-humanized after having a shitty season and not getting his way after his temper tantrums, maybe there will be some good competition between riders.
