Washington Backcountry Trail on a large adventure bike?

Has anyone rode all or part of the WA back country Trail on a large adventure bike? My buddy has a Yamaha Tenere and I have an 1190 ADV and we are thinking about checking it out this summer.

It's all run of the mill forest roads. There are a few tougher alternate sections you might want to avoid.

Good info, thank you! I watched some of the YOU TUBE videos and it looked pretty mild.

  bikes, all kinds.
I did it on a lighter dual-sport, but it's completely doable on the bigger adventure bikes. There are a few sections that would be tough on fully loaded adventure bikes, but there are bypasses for them.

I did it two years ago in 3.5 days with a friend on a Multistrada, a WR250 and my self on the Tiger 955. I did avoid a small section north of Cashmere due to some decent rains, but the rest is quite doable on a big bike.

I have the std 1190 Adventure not the R, but it seems to do OK. I have taken it out in the dirt a bit in some pretty mild stuff, but the Continental Trail Attacks that come on it are much better on the road than the dirt.
I have an extra rear wheel coming, and will get a front to set up for off road use. If anyone is planning a trip and are open to other bikes I would love to try a couple sections.

Thinking HARD about getting a new Husky 701 Enduro also!

Do it you won't regret it.. I had a 13 690, and bought a 701 just over a month ago. Much improved over it's orange brother. ;0) You are right up the road from me, come take it for a rip if you want. I work at home so am usually around. Near Conway.

The day I brought it home.. Since then I've added a bunch of offroad bits and exhaust.

Nice bike! The only issue I have is, like the KTM 1190R...they are so tall I can hardly touch both feet on the ground when I am sitting on it.
I know you don't ride with your feet down, but it can create some interesting situations!! Did you buy it at Skagit Power sports?

Yep....Chris Birch is THE MAN!!! And it is a very capable bike!! But I want to see him do it with the Conti "Trail Attacks" on! Although HE might just pull it off! That video makes me want to go out and knock a BUNCH of paint off my bike!!

The 701 has linkage, so if you needed it lowered you can get a shorter dog bone and drop the triples down a bit on the forks and you are rocking. Unfortunately the way the seat is on the Husky, it'll be almost impossible to lose height via the seat. I talked to Concepts about making a seat for me, and they told me not enough material on the seat on the 701.
