Exclamation Saturday 7-24 5:15 Sehome Starbucks Sprint Boat Racing ride to Port Angeles

Mark seemed to get a little interest on his post, but with less confusion, here's the details.

SATURDAY: 5:10 am KICKSTANDS UP 5:15am!
Where: Sehome Starbucks ride to Coupeville ferry by 7am
ferry departure. Race starts at 9:30 and ends about 3.

**There will be a break time to grab some food in
Sequim on the way, or those that want to blast
ahead and not miss a minute of racing can do so. and we will catch you there. THERE IS MOTO PARKING.

There are FOOD VENDORS ON SITE. We'll probably stop a few times along the way for gas and snacks.

Weather will be gorgeous! Open to anyone and everyone!
Come out and join the fun!

Extreme Sports Park & Sprint Boat Race Track ? The most extreme sports park on the Olympic Peninsula

These are super short, mini jet boats with massive engines and roll cages. Expect roll-over crashes and water spraying everywhere!

It's very competitive, a sort of rally car race in boats...

Bring a mini chair or blanket/ seat cushion or sit in the bleachers or grass. Might want a earplugs, sunglasses, hat or sunscreen as it's in a big, open, grassy field next door to the Port Angeles Airport (should you get lost its easy to find).

Anybody going to the races should buy tickets in advance. The promoter told me they are expecting very long lines at the gate.

TICKETS HERE>>>http://www.extremesportspark.net/buy-tickets/.

By the way, that sofa would be the best seat in the house! There's only 2 options, being your own seat or the small bleachers if you get a seat.

Talking Epic finish on the (lousy) ferry that started the adventure!

We did make it home; tired, sore, and ready for more!

The first day was merely the start to an big adventure of missed connections (that somehow worked themselves out), dirt roads on street bikes for a suprise Easter egg to high steel Bridge) , majestic scenery, a psychedelic-hippie-camp, and ending with a wild ferry ride - not fairy though, holding on to our bikes to keep them upright as waves crashed over the bow! We were lovingly wrapped up in treacherous, enveloping fog as our last challenge, which ended our trip the way that it had begun.

Big shout-out to the crazies that are the best moto brotheren (5 total: Matt,Mike,Mark,Dennis and me) that made this trip, and hope to see more of y'all on the next!

Also, last but not least, thanks to Cardo Packtalk Bold, which made the trip overall safer and worked flawlessly on our long days. It's SO much easier when it comes to communicating in a pack! Fueling stops, passing, and road debris warnings are all incredibly easy when you can talk amongst yourselves. Ironically, we also talked to one caller on a group phone call while riding down the coast! I would have never thought that was possible back in the Chatterbox com days...

I think we logged @ 630 miles in total and had coms pretty much the entire time on the bikes.

Nuggets of knowledge learned: google maps is VERY optimistic on travel time, WA state ferrys are a dismal shadow compared to what they used to be in Jan of last year.

All in, the trip was a success. All the bikes were in solid running order and stayed upright the entire way which is always a good thing! Carefully laid plans (like ferry sailings that never happened) were thrown out the window and impromptu improvisations were agreed upon and somehow worked to make this whole trip a memorable occasion.

Pics to follow.
