I miss my CBR but really love this Ape!
You know I guess the hardest thing about this bike is learning to "trust" the electronics. I've ridden all these years with no electronic intervention & gotta admit it's cool ass shit & I'm in work learning how to "share" control.

You can always turn it off if you want. But I find everything set to 1 does pretty good, it'll catch the stuff you can't

Verdict

1st thing I noticed was that they don't take much time to heat up. I played around a lot with different tire pressures & for standard spirited riding they liked starting out with a cold tire pressure of 27 psi rear & 29 psi front. Corner drop in transitions felt a little quicker then with the PP3's, heavy braking was very predictive, but if you habitually late brake you may find their a tad slow to turn in. Full lean angle traction was excellent for street tires but I'm glad I have TC on the Ape!!!!! The front tire although up to temp tends to push a little during quick full lean angle left/right flicks. I'm sure some of that problem is in my suspension which I'm still tweaking, but probably going to have Dave Alexander do his magic on. I like the Supersport Evo's better then the PP3's but I haven't had a chance to test them on wet ride. It's hard to beat the wet traction of the PP3's for a performance street tire. I run exclusively PR4's on my C14 but that's a whole different kind of riding, it's like the water parts in front of them
