need help with new chain!

does anyone in Bellingham area have tools to pop old chain off and help me install my new one?....would really like to get this done sooner than later.
I would get the tools and do it myself, but on a very tight budget and not sure I'll be riding that much longer. thx

Use a grinder or bolt cutters to get the old one off. You could then use a clip on ML , or the make screw on MLs too, but not familiar with them.

We have a rent by the hour shop here in Portland too. They provide all the tools you need and the shop space for 15/ hr. Maybe there’s something like that in your area.

  here

  there
post on the facebook group, there's bound to be someone up there with the tool(s) to do it. but like that person said, clip on master link doesn't require special tools, however you're assuming the chain you buy to put on is exactly the correct amount of links and you don't need to cut any extras off it

Fuck those things! Huge pain in the dick! Easy to over set those links as well. Then when you break off the threads they leave behind a crazy sharp jagged stub.
Oregon Motorcycle likes this.
