I have been wondering if this would happen this year...it appears so!
Got an e-mail the other day, sign up at 7:30 am on 23rd...I’ll probably
go and sign up and get my shirt, then will roll out, as I’ve heard the
pep talk many a time over the years...this year will be the 25th they
have held!...pretty good chance this will be my final ride for the year
as I have a lot going on at moment..I’ll probably grab food in Twisp
as I don’t feel it to be safe being in the barn...probably the Mexican
place, as they have outdoor seating if my memory isn’t to bad!..lol..
so anyone on this forum going to go?...I just hope weather is good
that day!

Saw that there was a fatal accident up on SR20 yesterday.
E/B rider apparently crossed center line, striking a W/B truck around 11:15am.
Granite Creek area, above Ross Lake.
33 years old. Tragic. Rest easy, Rider.

Double yellow high speed pass in a congested area on an FZ-09. Tore the left front spindle out of a 1 ton Dodge and destroyed the bike. Way up in the pass, so no cellphone service, ergo no rapid response. Bystanders did what they could, but I'm not sure that having Life Flight 10 minutes out would have made a difference.

I'm not going to speak ill of the rider, merely point out that we learn from this.

Yes, I went through the crash scene not too long after impact, but did not stop, as there were already enough helpers working and another lookie loo would not have been beneficial.

I went through that crash shortly after it happened...for me,I didnt know how I would process it after seeing my Vicky killed in her crash. With that said, I was a bit shaken from what I had seen, and once past it just kind of rode at a slow almost Idle pace for a while. It kind of hit me, but wasnt as bad as I thought it would. I think being 2 years now since my loss, I have got past my loss. Last year I would have lost it I am sure as I was very fragile then.

My thoughts are with his friends and family, that is not going to be easy for them to deal with!..
