shortnsweet first I want to say goodbye to this group as far as my riding goes...this past sunday was my final ride. I lost my soul mate and true love that day in a bad crash near Sweet Home Oregon. without her being in my rear view mirror going forward, I just cant ride now.... and before everyone hi-jacks this thread, she was a good rider...had done many a track day. Bikes where her first love, I was second, but I understood that!..she new the risks,I know the risks!... it was a corner that turned in on itself, and even the OSP officer stated (off record) that the corner should be fixed, as there have been so many lost on it! thank you all that I have riden with over the years...and all that had known my little sweet heart and riden with her..... |
I’m very sorry for your loss. |
West Words are so hard to describe loss and I wouldn’t know where to begin to describe your “Short ‘n Sweet” except I would say that I could see the love between you. We, as community will stand with you, as you are our brother and if need be, we will help you stand when standing gets hard. Sent via iPhone |
I am so sorry for your loss....i love this sport, but sometimes i hate it. |
I'm sorry to hear about your loss, as Uni says I love this sport but sometimes hate it. |
West, So sorry for your loss. This is truly sad for anyone that knew her. |
Very heartbreaking. I'm sorry for your loss. |
A sad tragedy for you, her family and all your friends. Blessings, comfort and peace to you all. |
Take care of yourself. Sometimes "riding your own ride" means driving or walking. May she ride eternal, shiny and chrome. |
Very sad to hear. I offer my heart felt condolences to you and your family. |
Wow, really sorry to hear. It's always the worse news ever when we hear from one of our own on this forum. Uni statement nails it on the head, this sport can be very hateful...... I can feel your pain. It happened to me, with one of my best riding friends (Mike), when a few of us were on a trip in OR. That was 6 years ago. Time heals, but it's ruff, and I still think about him and incident often. Candiya (who is on this forum) was his girlfriend and she wrote a really wonderful book after his death, and when you are ready, I recommend this book. It's called "On Grief, Hope, and Motorcycles." Hang in there buddy, and many prayers to you and her family |
So sorry West. She was a wonderful person and always had a smile for everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. :'( Sent via SM-G955U |

I had to listen to Richard Thompson’s 1952 Vincent Black Lightning for catharsis. I cannot imagine your heartbreak. I am very sorry. |
West Take good care of yourself. Fred |
