I might be able to make it. I was planning to go for a ride in the morning if the weather permits.

Fuck it. Too nice out. Other things can wait for rainier days. I'll take off early and ride this afternoon. I'm guessing North Pass and Silver Lake are probably not the best idea yet (snow/rain)? So I'll probably head south somewhere.

What time/where are you guys heading out/to?

If any Hamsters wanna do a quick Hwy 11-Hwy 20 - South Skagit Hwy - Hwy 9 loop. I'll be leaving the Fairhaven Shell at 3pm. Keep the rubber side down.

Awesome afternoon for a ride! I went out east on Grandview, around through Birch Bay to Blaine and then out Badger to Sumas. From Sumas out on 547 to south Pass Rd to Silver Lake Rd to Maple Falls. At Maple Falls I decided to check out the road conditions on east 542. 542 is good all the way out to Canyon Creek with no signs of major frost damage to the road. Its still a bit lumpy here and there, but not much more than last year. From Canyon Creek the center of the road has a line of sand and debris, but the travel lanes are pretty much clean out to MP 42ish. From MP 42ish the sand starts to show up in the center of the travel lanes as well, caution is advised from there. I went out to the snow removal equipment garage where I turned around.

Thanks for checking out S. Pass. Is there still construction on that road?

I did S. Pass, Silver Lake, Mosquito, 9, Park, 2 weekends ago it was fine. Silver lake was a bit dirty and Mosquito always seems to have surprises somewhere. That decreasing radius turn after the middle fork bridge is super sketchy if heading east, was west too, tons of debris on the road. Didn't notice any construction on S. Pass, maybe since it was on the weekend?
