Looking for new FS stuff in Wa. for Mon/Tues

Hey all,

Going to stick this here as Iím looking for some new spots either out of Olympia or up by Lake Quinault on Monday through Tuesday. You guys are getting the hookup as far as weather since central/eastern Oregon is forecast to rain. So for my first trip of any substance since my Wife died at the end of March Iím headed where the weather is nicer and the mountains are just a little bit taller. I know enough than to get myself into too much trouble, riding solo has itís pleasures but itís risks as well and my business and everyone in my home goes Kerflop if I donít shake my butt back here successfully at the end. Not to mention how embarrassing itíd be to crunch a brand new Scrambler 1200 XE I bought to replace my Wifeís Tiger that was making me cry every day.

So hit me up. The plan as it looks right now is to finish off my 12 here in Tig-Town and boogie by 8 or 9 if my kid brings me the plug kit I need so I can fix the rear on the Bonneville. Otherwise itís good old trusty kitty to the rescue. Either way itís around 500 lbs or plus of bike, but the Scrambler is more sprightly as I donít ďload it upĒ like a camel (or a Tiger 800). Iíll hammer it up there tonight to the unit Iíll base out of and then itís off bright and early for riding tomorrow and the next day.

So again, let me know. Iím a moderate C class with kitty, probably a ďbitĒ better on the Bonneville, but then again pushing leads to wrecks and kitty is paid for. MUCH better rider off road or on gravel as I have more time there of course, which one of us middle-aged ADV types doesnít. Weíre the Enduro/Elsinore generation, itís why my Tiger is painted in a shade that reminds me of my old LT2 and additionally why Iím happiest in the desert. But since THAT ainít happening Monday or Tuesday I think Iíll stick with my Washington plan and just have a nice big bore bike ride. So please folks suggest away. I have two Garmins, a good many of the latest MVUMs and an America The Beautiful pass. Iíll need to pay daily for State Parks as a non-res but I donít mind and I usually bring a bit of cash to spread into the local stores, restaurants and what have you.
