Headed out to Ladee Flats on 10/1

Me and the wife are going to Ladee Flats on 10/1.

I'll be in the green F250 with the CRF 2 smoke and wife will be on the beater Polaris 250 2 smoke.

Chance of rain... but going for it.

What a nice place to ride! Exactly what I was looking for. I left a haze of 2 stroke smoke in the trees.

Bike ran great except I ran it out of gas again... this CR500 motor is thirsty. It's my fault. Half a tank is time to fill it up. Might be the angle of the petcock but it won't pull gas if its at 1/4 tank. You can tip the bike to try to get the float to drain, to see if the carb is getting gas, and nothing. Long story short don't go below half a tank or be heading back for gas! I had to go so slow on the single track it made me really want a Rekluse auto clutch. The CR500 motor would be perfect for one as it has torque right off idle of course. Pretty much always on the clutch in the tight single track. It's to be expected though. It's also geared up from what I can tell with sprockets as it has a 13 tooth front and 49 tooth rear. I might go to a 14 up front and see if I like it.

The Polaris wanted to be choked when hot to start which is weird. I'll need to clean the carb on it and it blew the headpipe out of the the muffler piece twice. Want to hear loud? A 250 2 stroke with an open header echoing off trees. We fixed it asap, didn't want to shoot any sparks out. It's a beater and honestly needs some more work if my wife wants to keep riding and seems to want to!

We had a blast and LaDee Flats is my new spot. Perfect for the 500 as I can blast the gravel road and then hit up the single track, really ideal.

It's at the base of Mt. Hood about 20min outside Estacada OR.
That was just a short video when we were loading.

Yeah it's a blast. Going back on the 15th!
