Finished modifying my adventure bike

Today I think I put the finishing touches on the three year project that was modifying my KTM.

Seeing as I'm not 100% healthy after an injury almost 2 years ago I decided not to run WMRRA this year. There's too great a chance that I'll be exiting turn 3 on my first lap back at The Ridge, pulling myself back up onto the bike, and realizing that it's too painful to continue.

As road racing is out for the summer, I figured the next best thing to do was to finish the KTM up and go adventuring. I dropped half of a race weekend's budget on crash bars, a skid plate, and bar risers and now I think it's done. I have to pick up a GPS beacon/satellite messenger, but I'm not counting that as a bike mod.

Here's the current mod list:

- Remus exhaust
- Pannier rack
- Panniers (SW Motech)
- Tail rack (Black Dog Cycle Works)
- Throttle lock
- Heated gear electrical connection
- Touratech locking GPS mount
- Skid plate (SW Motech)
- Crash bars (SW Motech)
- Bar risers (Rox 2' risers)
- Superduke mirrors
- WMRRA and Scooty Puff Jr. bumper stickers

Aside from MAYBE larger foot pegs, can anyone think of something I'm missing? Once I exhaust these Scorpion A/Ts I'm gonna throw a pair of TKC80s on there and go nuts in the backcountry.

My apologies.

As proof that I use it the way it's designed: here she is at the top of Cleman Mountain on the WA BDR two years ago:

Nice bike!! Well sorted....just add dirt. So only thing I can add is do the wide foot pegs. When I changed my stock ones to wide ones it was one of those changes that I kicked myself for not doing from day one. I stand a lot and it made a huge difference for me. They weren't that expensive and they took just minutes to swap out.

If you do keep your stock foot pegs and you ride with boots, you could ditch the rubber insert for better grip. I removed the rubber insert on my stock pegs and while it added a little vibration on the street the added grip in the dirt was worth it.
